1) Shade Perennial 'Little Star' Pulmonaria: This compact yet floriferous bloomer starts with pink blossoms that turn to a beautiful cobalt blue color. This spring-blooming plant attracts hummingbirds but is also deer—and rabbit-resistant. It is 12" tall and 12-18" wide.
2) Part Sun/ Part Shade Perennial 'Puff Pink' Anemone: This anemone has pom-pom-shaped flowers that start rose-colored and progress to antique silver. Its compact habit, long stems for cutting, and impressive bloom time (midsummer to frost) make it a must-have. Bonus: Butterflies love it, too. It is 12-24" tall and 12-18" wide.
3) Sun Perennial 'Sole Scuro' Heliopsis: The dark foliage helps the bright orange and yellow flowers of this sun-loving plant pop. Drought tolerant, deer resistant, butterfly attracting, compact with upright growth, and a bloom time from summer to fall... what's not to love! It is 16-20" tall.
