We get a lot of questions, so we'll try to stay ahead of the game and answer them here!
Indoor seated events can fit 150 people. In the winter months, we limit indoor capacity to 100.
Open House Style -
Due to our expansive gardens and outdoor spaces, we are capable of hosting larger open house style events during the warm weather months. (For example: Open house graduation parties, or food trucks vs sit-down catered meals)
Food products are encouraged to come from a licensed and insured caterer or kitchen to eliminate the Client’s liability of food borne illnesses. Prepackaged food, restaurant food, and grocery store food is included in catered items. If hiring a caterer, they are required to have a valid Certificate of Insurance and Catering License on file with us.
Nope! We have an open catering policy. You select your favorite licensed caterer/kitchen/bar service that fits your budget. OR change it up and hire food trucks! Ask us who we recommend as we've had many great vendors provide amazing service at our venue.
While we are an events center, we are also a garden center. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. We have a playground and we encourage our clients to have planned activities for kids to do with an adult assisting.
Certainly! We have small event pricing. This is great for clubs that meet here regularly, as well as one-time small events.
The Carriage House is both heated and cooled. Ample parking is available Spring-Fall. Winter parking may be limited due to snowfall. Shuttles to transport your guests are welcomed!
Not far at all! It takes about 15 minutes to drive here from downtown Rochester or 10 minutes from the edge of town. We're located about 10 minutes from the Rochester International Airport as well.
At this time, we do not. If your event is held at our facility, please feel free to coordinate flowers with your favorite local florist.
We have plenty of parking both in the grass and gravel. We also have a designated parking area for handicap parking. By the way, we're handicap accessible, in case I haven't mentioned that yet.
There are several places you can host your event, as you can see in these photos. The Carriage House tends to be the most popular, with the front garden being a close second. The "Big Tree" has also hosted its fair share of exciting events. Around the fountain and gardens you'll find more spaces for activities, photo ops, and open space for lawn games.

We have an open catering policy as long as they are licensed! They are welcome to use our prep space.
Hire your favorite licensed bar service to provide drinks all the way up until 11:00 pm!
Our event coordinator and staff will be there to help your event run smoothly from beginning to end.
Access to and use of our beautiful gardens, pergola, restroom facilities, onsite parking, head table, 6' gift table, and cake table. Our staff will set up your tables and chairs. We have 150 outdoor chairs & 150 indoor chairs, 16 round tables & 15 rectangular tables.
$100 minimum + garbage/recycling fee dependent on class size.

$500 damage deposit refundable after event
To reserve a date and time, client must sign and return a rental agreement contract and pay a non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit of 50-100% of total cost depending on date of event. 3% fee applied to credit card, no other hidden fees.
